Caparison Dellinger 7 String Black Rose Review

This guitar was a little beat up upon arrival, but after some much needed TLC she played WONDERFULLY. There is a reason why I love Caparisons so damn much!!

Guitar Pick Review: BHL & Hufschmid Plectrums

This review was shot 3 times so that it was done right. I’m very proud of how it turned out. I hope you guys enjoy it. I love picks. PICKS PICKS PICKS. I have had it with jazz III’s though. ENOUGH.

Also, editing this took a work day.

Fun.

Caparison Horus / Dellinger 7 Review

Caparison Guitars make instruments that are meant to be played.

Their higher-end lineup of instruments isn’t for the meek – the price tags are most definitely into the custom guitar territory, but ultimately the quality is absolutely there.

Imagine the Jackson custom shop instruments from the olden days, and that’s Caparison. No, really, the head of Caparison used to have his hand in that shop!

There is a specific reason why Caparisons are my favourite though; the necks are done by hand. Yes that’s right, the necks are hand made. So perhaps the price is justified if the guitar receives so much love and attention before it even hits an owners hands – and boy does it ever show. I fell in love with them in January when I went to the NAMM 2014 show – and my friend Matt Perrin from Threat Signal and Angel Maker also fell in love with them to the point where he got endorsed!

I will be getting one soon. I have been left with no other logical option.

Definitely check out these instruments if you can, or if you are a clever human you will check eBay and capitalize on how cheap some of them are being re-sold for!

‘Land of Secrets’ Update!!

So it turns out that I have finally finished tracking for ‘Land of Secrets’. This is great news because now I only have mixing, mastering, and release to deal with.

The hard part is over – because I already can hear, in my own mind ,how I’d like the mix to sound: like Symphony X’s ‘Paradise Lost’ mixed with the sheer ‘mass’ of Ihsahns ‘After’. I think this will be very achievable with the gear and people I have in mind to help finish this opus.

Truly, it is the best that I can do as a musician as of right now, and that is what I strive for in every release.
Stay tuned for further updates regarding track listing, release date, and epic playthrough videos!
