I’ve signed up for a couple of courses with Berklee (the very famous music school) via the online medium of coursera! It is very exciting, and very difficult, as I haven’t been a student in a long time, but I am finding it quite a welcome challenge. There is nothing better than to have complacency defeated by the utter majesty of a challenge that truly challenges you.
As I finish “Land of Secrets”, and hear the songs for what they are instead of the individual parts which I have come to recognize them as, I begin to understand that the atmosphere I was trying to illustrate is mostly there. Meaning, I have accomplished what I have set out to do. It just comes down to mixing, mastering, and keeping it together for my studies.
I have also inadvertently become a hermit, as I have issues with my feet in regards to a medical sense. For the next few weeks I will not be able to walk very properly, and it is quite painful. Being trapped inside in the winter time instead of being able to go out and attend the meetings I am already booked for, etc, it is quite obnoxious. I will persevere, and I will not let it take me.
At least I have a lot more time to focus on the courses!
I welcome challenges and trials and tribulations, because I know that for myself I will always emerge the victor.
